This week has come and gone quickly but the memories made still remain. This past week, a FAME delegation of five were able to conduct Focus Group discussions at Indian Bible College with the purpose of learning and hearing the status of How Native Christian community leaders handle mental health marriage and family crisis situations.
We were hosted by Indian Bible College (IBC)in Flagstaff, AZ. The college was founded in 1958 and has been a consistent light in training Native Christian leaders in ministry to go back into their communities. The FAME delegation was able to see how the college is growing, meet the students, and discuss with IBC leadership possible ways our organizations can partner alongside each other in ministry.
Our delegation was able to conduct three of these focus group discussions, all of which were different. We were able to glean a lot of great information. Currently, the results are still being analyzed but overall the vision of FAME to exist as a behavioral health ministry provider and support to Native Christian followers and leaders was reaffirmed. It is our hope to emulate these focus group discussions in other venues.
We will keep you updated on the results. Lastly, stay tune for the interview that FAME President Bradley Andrews had with Indian Bible College President Jason Koppen.
